I have purchased a new Microsoft Mobile Mouse model 3500 approximately 5 weeks ago. I am now getting an error message stating the USB device has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. The message opens to a window that reads "Unknown Device"
where I have tried to "update the driver", but have had no favorable results. In my Control Panel, the only mouse device listed is the touch pad of the computer. I have searched through several troubleshooting solutions both here and through the net, nothing
seems to apply to this issue. I am unable to find a straightforward solution. Does anyone know how to fix this? This is terribly frustrating, especially since my last Microsoft wireless mouse lasted about six years!
