I get error message 0001 0002 when trying to install drivers for a Canon Pixma MX892 printer. Five different Canon reps have tried to find a solution - -
to no avail. (It appears to be a Windows error message rather than one generated by the Canon setup program.)

The exact moment it occurs during the driver installation process is when the setup program is "Registering the program information."
The exact wording of the message is: An error occurred while files were being copied: 0001 0002.
I am running Vista 32-bit and downloading drivers using Firefox 18.0.2.
Having installed numerous printers without a hitch, this is driving me crazy.
