Computer shuts down when in Sleep Mode

HP Computer has been working fine for years, now all of a sudden, when I put it into Sleep Mode, after a few minutes, it completely shuts down ! When I hit the Power Button I get the Warning Page tha says that Computer was not shut down correctly, and then it boots up OK. I have searched the forum and not seen anyone with this exact problem. I am running Vista Ultimate SP2, 32 bit.

Hi Kris,

Using registry scanners is not recommended. Windows has aSFC Scan tool built in that will scan repair /replace any missing or corrupt files. What are your settings under Sleep (Start > Control Panel > Change when the computer sleeps >Change advanced power settings > Expand Sleep)?
