Question

Q: Show hidden files and folders option not working

I am trying to access a hidden folder, C:\programdata\..... I cannot see it in explorer. When I go into the control panel>folder options>View....the radio button to show hidden files and folders is already selected.

I tried to change this to Do not display hidden files and folders by selecting the radio button and then clicking on apply. Then I exit the view menu. However, when I return to the view menu the radio button is next to the Display hidden files. ie it has not "registered" the change.

I have changed other items in the Advanced view menu eg hide extensions for known file types, and this works fine.

I have not been able to find this problem in the forum. I've obviously rebooted my pc. I do not know when this problem came about because I don't often go looking for this hidden folder.

I am running vista home premium 32bit

Thanks

Michael
