In Windows XP Pro, there was folder size stated. Is that available in Vista?

Hello,

I recently upgraded to Vista from XP Pro. In XP, in the status bar, it showed the folder size of the folder that you were currently in.

For example

In XP, in the bottom right corner (opposite of "72 items"), I would see the folder size of the recycle bin, but in Vista, I don't know the recycle bin size. It there an option to make the folder size available?

Add Size column to the details pane.
1. Right click the title bar on the details pane.
2. Check "Size"  (click More...  to view complete list)

The Details Pane displays the number of items and the Size of the selected files.

Welcome to Windows Vista all over again. Windows 7 is nothing but Vista with an even more dumbed down Windows Explorer. Is MS really cared or listened to customers, we would have seen the change in Windows 7 since people are screaming about this ever since the Vista beta 1 and beta 2 back in 2005-2006. MS likes making decisions for power users and has in the process made viewing sizes impossible on the status bar/details pane or columns in details view.
