Windows 7 - How do I set specific download times for updates?

Although the option is available to set a time for intallation of updates, I cannot find an option for setting a specific time for downloading updates.  I need this option due to a satellite internet connection with very limited daily downloading times - except after midnight.  How can I set a specific download time for updates?

With Automatic Updates enabled, you can choose when updates are installed (see Andre's reply) but not when updates are downloaded.

You can, however, download/install updates manually at a given time. See http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/How-can-I-tell-if-my-computer-is-up-to-date.

I'd say your best bet would be to choose Automatic Updates' "Check for updates but..." setting (so that you're aware of updates being available) but then downloading/installing the updates manually BEFORE approving the download/install of updates via AU.

Click Start, type: Windows Update

Hit Enter on your keyboard

Click Change Settings

Click in the Important Updates list box

Download updates but let me choose when to install them.

Choose Install Updates: Everyday and at the specified time.

Yes, there is some manual work involved, at least it is downloaded at a specified time.
