ESENT/JET corruption on 4K sector hard disk drive, failure to install KB982018

3 month ago I got new hard disks with 4K sector size (Toshiba MK7559GSXP 750 GB). I backed up my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 installation, changed disks and restored the system. Everything seemed to work like a charm.

Now I realized that my system did not get any update since then. The reason is that the JET engine is corrupted. Reinstallation of Windows fails after the "apply updates" step. I was glad to find hotfix KB982018 but I am not able to install it, probably due to the esent problem itself? The error message is 0xc8000247. How can I resolve this issue?
