1. Which updates are failing to install?
2. Have you made any recent changes on the computer?
I would suggest that you reset the Windows update components and try to install the updates.
How do I reset Windows Update components?
If the above step fails then I would suggest that you install the failed updates manually and check.
View the update history to know which update is not getting installed.
a) Open Windows Update by clicking the
Start button, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Update.
b) In the left pane, click View update history.
c) To view more information about an update, double-click it.
Once you know the update KB number then visit the Microsoft download and put the KB number in the search box to download and install the update manually.
