how do you activate an xbox on my computer ?

i have connected to the windows media but when i try and got to my music or my movies on my xbox it says i am not connected and i need to activate the console on the computer

1.     Have you setup the Windows Media Center Extender?

2.     Do you have any security software installed on the computer?
