HP Deskjjet 3050A - how to install without disk (already linked by cable to laptop)

When I scroll down the very long list of HP printers/scanners on the drop down menu, this model is not included.  That's after asking Windows to update the list of devices.  The printer was installed some time ago and works perfectly on my PC, but I cannot discover how to link it to my new ACER laptop - from where this request is being posted.

Check the printer manufacturers support website and look for Windows drivers that you can download and install. Download the drivers for your printer model and the correct bit level for your computer - 32 or 64 bit - and then install them.



HP Deskjet 3050A drivers:


To see if you have Windows 32 or 64 bit:

1. Click the Start button, right click Computer, and then click Properties.

2. The window that opens will say 32 or 64 bit (if you have XP and no bit type is listed you have 32 bit).
