Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Clone Campaigns - Windows Application Error - The Memory could not be read.

This error is hunting me for a long time, what happens is while I am playing the game might randomly crash in any time. Mostly it crashes due to large number of units in the game, but I did some test by putting large amount if the on the battle field and the game did not crash.

I am not a computer professional, but I think it is something to do with RAM, but the game is supposed to use only 64MB, maybe 200MB is the max. Recently I got a new RAM chip, but I think the error was there even before the upgrade. Running less processes doesn't help.

Here's my specs:

System:

     Microsoft Windows XP

     Home Edition

     Version 2002

     Service Pack 3

Registered to:

     Stas Vladimirov

[numbers and letters that I shouldn't tell you]

AMD Athlon Processor 2650e 1.61GHz

1,75 GB of RAM

Answer

Hello,

Do you have a separate graphic card or you have shared it?

Step 1:

I suggest you to run a memory diagnostic tool and check:

http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/expert/ballew_tshootram.mspx

Step 2:

You can even put the computer in clean boot state and check:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: Make sure you get it to normal startup state once you are done with the test.

Step 3:

Check if the game is compatible with Windows XP or not.

Step 5:

Try updating the graphics card drivers and check:
