When I'm playing Max Payne 1 in Vista the music & dialogues during the cutscenes or graphic novel does not becomes active. But when I play the game from the same exe file in XP (I have both in dual boot mode), the game runs perfectly alright. I've tried
to run the game in Windows XP SP2 cmpatibility mode in vista but to no effect. Please help me.
Supported Operating Systems:
Windows 95 (OSR2 or later), Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000.
Although Max Payne has been found to work on Windows XP, it has not been thoroughly tested and thus
Windows XP is not officially supported.
So getting it to work in Vista may not happen. I did see that there are a couple patches for the game. So you may want to make sure you have any patches and check with their support for any possible updates or information about making it run on Vista.
