Sound Audio microphone record recording
my sony vaio on 8/13/13 after update ,my laptop it no sound , no audio output device is installed ,I try down load software a realtek hight definition again on a ,sony web but not working  why?????

We suggest you try the following steps below:

Method 1:

Step 1: Follow the steps provided below to uninstall the Audio drivers:

a) In the start menu, type ‘Device manager’, click 'Settings' and then click ‘Device manager’.

b) Expand ‘Sound Video and Game Controllers' and right-click ‘High Definition Audio Device’ and select ‘uninstall’

Step 2: Follow the steps provided below to install the drivers in compatibility mode:

a) Download the Audio drivers from the manufacturer’s website. 

b) Right-click on the driver and click on ‘Properties’

c) Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down. 

d) Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it. 

Method 2: Perform SFC Scan on the computer and check for any missing or corrupted system files

a. Press Windows Key + Q to open Charms Bar.

b. Type cmd in the search box.

c. On the left pane, right click on cmd and select Run as Administrator.

d. Type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.

2. To run the Audio Troubleshooter.


Follow the steps:- 

a) Press Windows Key + , click on Control Panel.

b) Type troubleshooting in the search bar, click on troubleshooting.

c) Click on view all, click on Hardware and Sound, click on Audio troubleshooter.

d) Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.
