Windows 8 store and apps are not working

I recently updated my lenovo windows 7 laptop to windows 8. Its specs are, Intel core i5 processor 3rd generation, 4 GB ram, 500 GB hard disk, 1 GB Nvidia graphic card. But I cannot access the store and all the apps. Whenever I open the store, the message come saying that  WE WEREN'T ABLE TO CONNECT TO THE STORE. THIS MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED BECAUSE OF A SERVER PROBLEM OR THE NETWORK CONNECTION MIGHT HAVE TIMED OUT. PLEASE WAIT A FEW MINUTES AND TRY AGAIN LATER.  
My internet connection i working very well and I am able to access all the internet pages. The same thing is with the pre installed apps like news, weather, camera, video, games etc, whenever i open them there just comes a blank screen and I am not able to access them.

Please help me...

Hi Siddhant,

 

Perform Refresh and see if it helps.

a: Press Windows logo + W   to open the search box.

b: Now type Refresh your PC and hit enter.

c: Now click Get Started under Refresh your PC without affecting your files.

d: Now click Next.

Note: Refreshing Windows 8 will remove all third party applications installed and it will reset all the Microsoft applications to default.
