How to completely delete all files of an App in Windows 8?

I tried an  App (not free) in windows 8. I didn't want to buy it so I uninstalled it and settled for the free version of the App. However, my computer is not detecting that I have the free version already. I keeps on checking for the price of the App and I cannot use the free version well.

How can I solve this? Deleting all files related to that App (especially with the paid version), I think, would help, but I do not know how to do that.

Hi Mikey,

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community and we are glad to assist you on this issue.

As per the issue, it seems like you are having issues with the paid app on the computer which you have uninstalled and you still get message about the price of the app, although, you are using the free version of the app at the moment.

I would like to gather some information on this issue:

1) How did you uninstall the paid version of the app from the computer?
2) What is the exact notification or message that you get about the price of the app?
3) Are you able to use the free app without any issue?
4) Which is the specific app with such an issue?

Let’s try uninstalling the app by using the same app on the start screen.

You can follow the methods:

Method 1:

You can follow the steps:

b) Tap or click Uninstall.

Method 2:

I would suggest you to reset the cache memory of Windows Store and then check if you get the same message.

Please follow the steps below to clear Windows Store cache memory:

a) On the desktop screen, press Windows and r key to open run box.
b) Type "WSReset.exe" and hit enter.

Hope it helps.
