Windows 8 Pro bootable USB

Hi I upgraded to Windows 8 Pro from Windows 7.

But after being all done,  I noticed there were plenty of files and programs I wanted to get rid of so I decided to install a clean copy od Windows 8 Pro and format my hard drive. How do I create a USB bootable copy of Windows 8 Pro?

Thanks

Answer

If you have the ISO image for the version of Windows 8 that you have purchased download the Windows 7 USB/Download tool from Microsoft. It will make a bootable USB key from the ISO image (it works for Windows 8 as well as 7)

You may have to make some changes to your PC BIOS to get it to boot from the USB key. Some systems allow you to make a one time selection of the boot device (i.e. Dell, Acer, Asus ). Watch the boot screen for a message as it only needs to boot from the key once and this is easier than changing the BIOS and then changing it back again.
