Windows 8 Installation problem - Blank Screen

I'm trying a clean install of Windows 8 Pro on my HP Pavilion dv4 3015-tx. The installation got completed after which the screen went blank (at 62% of the 'Getting devices ready'). However the system rebooted after some time and then after a brief appearance of the Windows 8 logo, the screen went blank. 

Seems to be the popular ATI Radeon switchable graphics driver problem. I've tried all the solutions given by the community members and nothign works out.

Sorry to know that you face issues with Windows 8 installation . As I get it right the screen got blank at 62% of Getting devices ready after Installation.

 

I need to ask you a few questions in order to assist you in a better way.

 

Are there any external devices connected to the computer?

 

Method 1: Remove all the external devices connected to the computer apart from keyboard and mouse and check.

 

Method 2: Re-install the display drivers from the manufacturer website and check.

Method 1: All external devices were removed except for the USB device having the windows 8 bootable image.

Method 2: How do I install the drivers manually when the screen is blank? (I'm doing a clean install). I have tried connecting to an external display, but of no use.

I have a Asus M2N Motherboard with Nvidia GT 240. I ran the windows 8 pro upgrade

from windows 7 home it failed and reverted back to windows 7.  Then I tried a clean install

and the Windows 8 install screens were Fuzzy\Blurry from a clean boot from windows

8 pro disk. It managed to install, activate, and rebooted once after it installed windows updates .

I used it for a couple of hours and windows 8 pro ran great. But the next time I rebooted I got

nothing but a blank screen as if the computer was shutdown. The monitor had a flashing power

 button,  but the computer was running. I tried dual boot with windows 7 home and it seems

that windows 8 has a problem with this motherboard. Any install, pre bootup screen always

has Blurry and Fuzzy graphics.

 

I also have another computer I upgraded. it is a Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe with 2 Nvidia gt 8600

graphics cards. Everything installed ok and runs great.

That Method 2 doesn't make sense.
