When installing Windows 8 it says I need to manually uninstall a program, that I have already uninstalled and won't let me continue. Can anybody please suggest a way to stop this problem? - Mike

This did the trick for me. I deleted two stray regkeys as well as the "c:\program files (x86)\raxco" folder. Hit "Refresh" on the Windows 8 installer dialog and it no longer detected PerfectDisk.

Hi,

Try going into Program Files, (both if you have two), and Program Data, and deleting any remaining Perfect Disk files.

It will be in the Raxco folder.

Uninstall sometimes leaves files behind that Win 8 may be detecting.

I had a similar problem, but can't remember if it was Perfect Disk or another.
