there was a problem running the macro (1037)

I have successfully installed the US language and managed to download winhlp32.exe but although I can now see all the help files from my Lotus SmartSuite 9.8 I get the message in WordPro 'there was a problem running the macro (1037).  The web has an answer which involves changing the registry or downloading a 'fix' which I'm not sure will work.  This forum has been really helpful and I just thought I would ask here first as I'm tentative about changing my registry!  Thanks, Su

This is expected behavior since you have install the winhlp32.exe on your system so you can see the help files on Lotus SmartSuite8.9.

Thanks very much for your quick and helpful response Marilyn.  I am tentative about altering the registry myself!  But when I go to 'fix it for me' it says

Note This fix is for Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 only.

I am Windows 8 and wondered whether it was still OK to use this fix?
