Is anyone else having problems with UEFI support with the DVD ISO created by the Windows 8 Upgrade tool?

Is anyone else having problems with UEFI support with the DVD ISO created by the Windows 8 Upgrade tool?

I have made several calls to Microsoft support, and they have yet to acknowledge any issues.  I have also come across several forums where although some other people are reporting issues, other users are not.

The install media that I was able to create from the ISO that was downloaded is successfully running in BIOS (or Legacy) mode, but is not recognized as an UEFI supported device.  I know that this is not a hardware issue, as I was able to successfully get the following DVDs to be recognized as UEFI supported disks:

1)  Windows 7 (64-bit) Installer

2)  Vendor System Recovery Disks

3)  Ubuntu 12.04 (64-bit) Installer

Has anyone else run into this issue?  If you have had the issue, have you been able to find a resolution to the issue?  I do not have an USB drive, so I am trying to create the install media with DVDs.
