Answer
Answer

Windows 8 does not support Windows Virtual PC/Windows XP Mode.

Windows 8 includes a built in Hypervisor called Hyper-V.

This requires that your processor supports Secondary Address Translation.

To find out if your processor is supported:

Press Windows key + X

Click Programs and Features

Click Turn Windows features on or off

See if you can check off Hyper-V and all its sub options

If not, it does noT support Hyper-V.

You can use alternatives such as Oracle VirtualBox or VMWare Player.

VMware Player;
