I cannot find "Add features to Windows 8" to activate Media centre

I received an email today to say I need to activate Windows media centre and that I should follow the instructions to do so:

Follow these steps to add Windows 8 Media Center Pack to your PC running Windows 8 Pro:

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. (If you’re using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, and then click Search).
  2. Enter add features in the search box, and then tap or click Settings.
  3. Tap or click Add features to Windows 8.
  4. Then tap or click I already have a product key.
  5. Enter the product key, and then click Next.
  6. Read the license terms, select the check box to accept the license terms, and then click Add features.

Your PC will restart automatically and Windows Media Center will be available for use.

My computer only has the option "Turn Windows features on or off"...

I have Windows 8 Pro.

If I go into that application, it says windows media center is enabled, but how do I know the key I have been supplied with has been activated when I can't find the same settings as suggested in the email I received?

any ideas how I should add it?

My girlfriend has just purchased a download version of windows 8 and she has "Add features to Windows 8" come up, but I do not have that option? Her windows media center is not enabled if I goto "Turn windows features on or off"

Lets do it another way:

Control Panel > System and Security > System.

Towards the bottom of the page you should see maybe in blue " View details in Windows activation "

Click that and it should read "Current Edition

Windows 8 Pro with Media Center

                                                 Current product key

                                                  *********12345Q(as example)"

If this is what you see, you are OK if not let me know
