how to proceed with "what needs your attention" screen?

ok. i recently purchased the upgrade disc for windows 8 pro, and i am trying to install it on my computer, but every time i try to isntall it, i cannot make it pass the "what needs your attention" screen. it asks me to "change the folder or file name of C:\Users on drive C:" and to "change the folder or file name of C:\ProgramData on drive C:" as well. for the "Users" folder, it wont let me rename it at all because it says "access is denied" and for the "ProgramData" folder, i cant see any folder with that name at all.

what should i do to resolve this issue and continue installing windows 8 pro?

Hi Leon,

Thank you for your reply.

1. Did you run the upgrade assistant before purchasing the Windows 8?

2. Do you face any issue while running any other program?

Perform the disk cleanup and disk defragment.

Refer the following link.

Important: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.
