How to install windows 8 over ubuntu?

I have a lenovo z580 with ubuntu 14.04 . I want to install windows 8 over it( without removing ubuntu, i.e. dual boot) . Can someone tell the detailed procedure? I am an amateur , so any kind of detailed help will be highly appreciated.

As far as installing Windows 8 in a dual-boot configuration, that part is pretty easy. You would just put in your Windows 8 install CD (or USB stick) and boot from it, and choose which hard drive partition to put it on.

Creating that new hard drive partition though, that's going to be the part you need to do first. If you were already using Windows, I could tell you how to do it with the Disk Management console. But you might want to research or post on a Ubuntu forum to find out how to split your drive into two partitions.
