Protect Yourself From Tech Support Scams
Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary
technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a
Microsoft Agent or
Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an
official
Microsoft global customer service number.
I have already purchased a Windows 8 Pro key, but have switched the hard disk drive on my computer. I need to install Windows 8 Pro on the new hard disk, which currently has no operating system installed. Can I download the ISO for Windows 8 Pro somewhere?
When I use the upgrade assistant on another computer, it only gives me an option to purchase Windows 8, while I need an ISO image to create a bootable flash drive. Naturally, I don't want to choose the buy option since I already have the key. Or must I install
a trial of Windows 7 first and then do an upgrade from there? Help please?
