Blocked Product Key for Windows 8 Pro

So, I purchased a copy of Windows 8 Pro on Ebay just over a month ago.  I was able to install AND activate Windows 8 Pro successfully at that time (1 month ago).  It was a clean install on a brand new hard drive.

However, I decided recently (just a week ago) to upgrade a bunch of hardware (video card, monitors, power supply, and also temporarily the hard drive)... and in so doing I did a fresh reinstall of Windows 8 (first on a test harddrive, and then on the harddrive that I had installed Windows 8 on a month previous).  With both of these fresh reinstalls a week ago, I was unable to activate Windows 8.  My product code is blocked.  

Am I blocked because of my hardware changes?  Or, am I blocked because I purchased a bad Windows 8 (e.g. maybe I purchased an MSDN code)?  Here's the output from Licensingdiag.exe.

As per the description, you cannot activate Windows.

 

The Error code 0xC004F009 states that the Software Protection Service reported that the grace period expired.

 

Perform steps mentioned below and see if it helps.

a: Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.

b: Now type slui.exe 4 and hit enter.

c :Select your 'Country' from the list.

d: Choose the 'Phone Activation' option.

e: Stay on the phone (do not respond to any of the automated prompts) and wait for a person to help you with activation.

f: Explain your issue clearly to the support person.
