Yup - I am having exactly the same problem.

Bought the windows 8 Pro update (double checked it was indeed the Pro version installed) x32bit.

All terms and conditions seem to be satisfied. Have tried with a number of different email accounts including the one linked to my machine.

No luck. What is wrong?

Same problem here for several days now

I've been waiting for my key for over 6 days now. The key was supposed to be sent within 72 hours or 3 days.  So I tried signing up for a key using the same email address (live email address connected to my windows 8 professional installation and key) and another email and I got the "We couldn't process your order" screen.  I tried several times with the same result.

I then decided to use my student email address instead which is connected to live.com (my school uses live.com for school emails) but not to any windows installation. And viola, the key came in 2 minutes, yes you read it right, I said MINUTES...

Microsoft is definitely screening email addresses through the media center 8 key request. I don't know why, but it appears that prior email addresses might of been blacklisted.

OK, here's a new twist. At the page where you are to enter your email, there is a link that will tell you what version of windows you are running. When I clicked on it, it said I was running Windows 8 but I purchased and installed Windows 8 Pro  and my system reports I have Windows 8 Pro running. If Microsoft is checking to see if we have windows 8 Pro installed, but it is being reported incorrectly, that would explain why they can not process the order. Would be nice if they gave a reason. Anyway, I'm wondering if some part of the system code they check is not being updated. I could understand the issue going from Windows 8 to Windows 8 Pro, but I went from Windows 7 directly to 8 Pro. Maybe this will give those more techie than I a place to look.
