Windows Phone 8 app does not install on..Windows 8

This is an almost stereotypical Windows problem, but it actually happened. I am trying to install the Windows Phone 8 app for Windows 8, but when I click on the installer and begin the install process, a box pops up that helpfully says "Application is ready to install", and the "Install" button is grayed out and not clickable. The only option is "Cancel"!!

1.     Are you able to install other apps from Windows Store?

2.     Did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?


Here’s what you can try:


Save the setup file for the app and then try to install it in Clean Boot.


To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflictsHere is the link for your reference to perform clean boot.
