  • Is there any pre-installed media player in windows 8 ?

Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro editions come with Windows Media Player.

 

Windows 8 N and Windows 8 Pro N do not come with Windows Media Player* and certain  other similar features - please see:

*But it can be added for free.

  • I am also willing to know about pre-installed games in Windows 8 Pro .

The built-in games that were in earlier versions of Windows are not available in Windows 8. Instead, there are some free Microsoft produced games apps available from the Windows Store (on your Start). The card games by Microsoft are called Microsoft Solitaire Collection. There is also Microsoft Mahjong, Microsoft Minesweeper, Microsoft Taptiles and others. You should note that these are different to what you had previously.

 

There are 3rd party methods that apparently get the Windows 7 built-in games working on Windows 8. I have not tested them so I will not be recommending them.

 

You may also look for 3rd party game apps on the Windows Store.
