Windows 8 apps not connection to internet

Internet Explorer is connected with internet, but some metro apps are not connected with internet & showing Offline. How can I solve this problem? Here I read one answer where suggest to refresh. How can I refresh my computer. I bought Acer laptop with Windows 8.

1. Are you aware of making any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

2. Do you have any third party antivirus program installed on the computer?

3. Do you use any proxy internet connection while accessing Internet?

4. Is this issue confined to any particular app?

5. What are the steps that you have tried to resolve the issue?

 

We have few basic troubleshooting steps to try and resolve the issue. Let's perform those steps before performing refresh on the computer. Refresh is a type of repair installation on the computer.

 

This issue normally occurs when the apps are blocked by any third party program or when you use proxy internet connection.

Method 2:  Disable Proxy connection

 

a. Open Internet Explorer
b. Click Tools and then click Internet Options.
c. Click the Connections tab.
d. Click the
LAN Settings
button.
e. Uncheck the option which reads”
Use a proxy server for your LAN”

f. Click Apply and Ok.
