Explorer.exe was unable to start correctly (0x0000142) after troubleshooting for explorer.exe crash

explorer.exe fails to start even during bootup i have to manually run apps from taskmanager,I got the following error in the event logs for this:

Faulting application name: explorer.exe, version: 6.2.9200.16628, time stamp: 0x51a94434

What caused this?

I uninstalled Google drive, to troubleshoot another error , discussed here:

I strongly suspect a rogue application (or service or bug) in my Windows 8 laptop which kills my explorer process and at times makes the taskbar unresponsive showing the busy icon all the time. Hence I have to use Alt+Tab to switch over between application.  When the taskbar becomes unresponsive I cant even switch between applications, I  have to use the task manager to run the explorer process.

I have 6gb RAM on my laptop

So how to boil down to a possible rouge application(I have tried almost all techniques but in vain) and how to solve this problem if there are no rouge applications.

I consistently see the following 3 errors in the event logs:

Hi,

The issue would have caused due to some file corruption or some software conflicts.

Method 1 : Perform SFC(System file Checker) scan and see if it helps.

a: Press Windows key + X.

b: Select Command Prompt(Admin).

c: Type SFC / scannow and hit enter.

Method 2: Place the computer in clean boot and chcek if it works.

To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows 8 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to perform a clean boot to troubleshoot a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

Note: Check the title “How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot” for reverting to normal mode.

Unfortunately it does not work, I tried that multiple times. I have forwarded my question to this link:http://superuser.com/

This link also explains the advances, I found the problem to be with the metro interfact, that has caused the crash.
