Can't install apps on Windows 8 pro on a domain

Hi I can't install apps on my Windows 8 pro machine here at work.

I have full control have internet access through a proxy. I can check for OS updates but I can't install or check for updates when in the start screen or store.

It says try again later or no internet access. Bing works on the start screen, I can actually access the store but can't install.

Does anybody know the url for the store so if it's my company filter blocking it I can allow it as I am one of the admins here.

Cheers

I had the same problem! I did ALOT of searching and I founded a solution. It worked for me and it might work for you.

Hi,

As I understand you are unable to launch any Metro apps, as they ' would show the app splash screen the immediately close' Is this correct?

Not to worry this is a known issue! and can be fixed.
Refer,

Guidelines and checklist for search (Windows Store apps)

Follow the steps to help troubleshoot the Apps.

What to do if you have problems with an app

Windows 8 App troubleshooter

Also, try restoring the PC health (PC settings)

You may also try,

a. Press Windows key + X on the key board

b. Click on Cmd (Admin)

c. dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Press enter
Now you should be able to launch the apps successfully, if you face any issues please let me know.

In case you still want to refresh your PC please reinitiate the web setup process and on the Install Windows 8 screen please choose install by Creating Media and follow the on screen instructions, to burn using a blank DVD or USB drive (4GB)

Hope this helps
