hi! I am using Acer Timeline M5 481TG. I think I have misled you. I am refering to my touch pad gestures not the screen touch as it is not really supported by the model. I have downloaded the Synaptics Driver and no progress at all. I will try your recommendations and give you feedback. Thank you!

I have installed synaptics driver

Did that work?   Then that would be your Touchpad's manufacturer.   Use msinfo32.exe  Components\Input\Pointing Device  to check.

Or via your link, use its  Download Hardware Vendor Detection Utility

(BTW I am unlinking that because I was just guessing at your OS.)

However, I suspect that is just the base hardware support.   To get anything else you would have to visit the manufacturer's site and see what is available.

So I have a Samsung Series 7 and tried installing the Synaptics driver but this also didn't solve it for me.  I can't seem to find any Elantech driver for my Samsung any ideas?
