why does my new windows 8 computer memory dump on me?

i added more memory to it to make it 8GB Ram. but it was doing that even i take out the 4GB Ram. its there an update they are making to get the new computer to stop doing that. its my first new computer in 6 years or so. and i have to deal with the memory dumps. How can i get it to stop it. i did a system restore and put the memory card back in and it only did it once so far so it cant be the new ram. Please Help me

Meanwhile I would also suggest you run memory diagnostic on the computer. Follow these steps to run memory diagnostic.

a) Press ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.

b) Type ‘memory diagnostic’ in the search and press enter.

c) Select ‘Restart now and check for problems’ or select‘check for problems the next time I start my computer’ to run the diagnostic.
