Windows 8 local group policy editor missing

At RUN, if I type "gpedit.msc"  the response is that it is not found.   This is a new computer with Windows 8.

Hi Carl,

 

Follow these steps to determine which edition of windows 8 you have on your computer

 

a.       Type computer from the start screen

b.      Right click on computer

c.       Click on properties which will appear at the bottom of the screen

d.      You will now be able to view all the basic information of your computer

e.      Under Windows edition, check which Windows 8 edition is installed on your computer
