Forgot Windows 8 admin password can not get past login screen no recovery disk

Computer boots to admin login screen.  Forgot this password and don't have a recovery disk.

While your request may very well be genuine, it could also be interpreted as a surreptitious attempt to circumvent Windows security.

The only recommended method of recovering an administrative password is to log-in under another administrative account and reset the unknown password to a known one. If administrative passwords could be easily overcame, there wouldn't be much point in them.

It is against the Terms of Use and the Answers Code of Conduct of these forums to either request or provide assistance in cracking a password. Please remember that you agreed to these and reread them if necessary.

You may wish to review the Microsoft policy about lost or forgotten passwords (KB189126) for more information on what resources are available to you.

The only advice I can offer you is to either log-on as another user with administrative privileges and reset your password to a new one, use the password reset disk you created when you setup your account, start guessing at what the password could possibly be or reinstall Windows to factory defaults.
