I have a 3D video file which is encoded in the h.264 format. I have downloaded all the proper codecs needed to play this video.
(H264 - MPEG-4 AVC)
I know this because I can open windows media player and see the codec are available and I am able to play this video through windows media player.
However when ever I try to play this video through the Windows 8 Video app I get the following message
Can't play because the item's file format isn't supported. Check the store to see if this item is available there.
How different is Media Player vs Video App. I would think they are basically the same but it looks like they are not. If this is the case how can you install Codec's for Video App?
