Answer

Microsoft Windows Movie Maker is no longer available, it has been replaced by Windows Live Movie Maker.

Also (.mswmm) files can only be open using MSWMM - MLMM is compatible with these files.

First question - Do you have a Microsoft account, WLMM is an online program and you need a MS Acct. to access & use it. I have included the MS Acct website in case you do not have one, if and you decide to sign up;

 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-live/microsoft-account-help#microsoft-account=tab1

Windows Live Movie Maker is part of the Microsoft Essentials package - the link to that is below

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-live/essentials-home

There are available on the web, Converter programs that will convert (.mswmm) folders to other formats that Windows can use- if you do a web search 'convert mswmm files' in will list where you can get the programs.

A computer is a device, that requires human input to operate efficiently.
Alas we humans do fail!!!!
