How to save playlists created in the Windows 8 xbox music app to use in Windows Media Player

I recently bought a new laptop and while getting used to all the Windows 8 features I was suing the xbox music app and added to some of my already existing playlists that it automatically read and added to the app. However I now wish to switch back to using the regular windows media player but is there a way to export the playlists I have created in the app so that I can listen to them elsewhere?

Answer

Hi Alison,

The export option is not available for playlists in Music app in Windows 8.

You need to create manually a new playlist in Windows Media Player. You may also check the music library in Windows Explorer to add the music to Windows Media Player playlist.
