Error 0x80070141: device is unreachable.


My iphone was importing photos perfectly fine until today, when the message came up 'Error 0x8007041: device is unreachable.  It will only import 1 or 2 files at a time.  I've followed a couple of the suggestions on other threads for the same problem, such as checking the device driver is up to date and troubleshooting, but the problem is still there.

Can anyone help?

  • Are you connecting the phone wirelessly or through USB to the computer?

  • Are you able to upload photos from other devices?

  • Have you tried connecting your iPhone with some other system?

 Run the Hardware Troubleshooter

The Hardware Troubleshooter is an automated tool which checks the hardware connected to the computer for any known issues and provides the details on how to fix them. Please click on this link and follow the steps given in it to run this troubleshooter:

Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter

If method 1 doesn’t help try method2

Method 2.
