Hi.. I had Windows 8 working great. But I decided to install OpenSuse Linux 12.3 on another partition of the same hard disk. Everythig was find, now when I turn my computer on, I see the grub asking me for the operating system I want to use. If I choose Windows 8, the system starts as usual, but once I try to shutdown the system, it seems like the system is performing the shutdown process, becuase the screen becomes dark, but the process never finishes and once I press a key, the system displays the "start screen", asking me for the user and password to start...
I had had the same issue before:
I used to have Windows 7 with openSuse. When I upgrade Windows 7 to 8, I installed opensuse again and the same problem occured. I had to reinstall Windows 8 in order to overwrite the master boot loader and after that, I had to resintall the grub in order to be able to use my two operating systems.. Right now I wouldn't like to reinstall Windows 8, because I have a lot of applications.. But I haven't been able to find a solution to shut down the system in Windows 8...
