Windows 8 is the WORST OS EVER!

I have worked in IT for several years (currently, JUST a consumer), so I have quite a bit of technical knowledge.  With that in mind, I am so frustrated with the Windows 8 OS.  I can't tell you how many times I've had to do a Google search on how to fix something or find a work around.  For example, printing a PDF file.  Seriously.  It seems a menu item would be available from a right click.

Also, have been unable to get my GoDaddy email to work from either the Metro or Desktop.  It works off and on.  I've changed from POP to IMAP, but it is inconsistent.  The email will sometimes work on Metro - but I often need to manually sync and even then it doesn't always work.  Sometimes sent emails will go to the intended recipient, sometimes they don't.  Quite the mystery.

I feel as though this is a Beta or "Consumer Preview".

Only reason I am using Windows 8 is because I got a new laptop that was preloaded w/Windows 8.  Big bummer for me.  Am seriously considering returning the laptop for one loaded with Windows 7.

Just saying...

Touch users have a hard time doing a "right-click" (without a pen).   Have you "discovered"  Win-K?   <eg>

What are you using for a Desktop default E-mail client?   WLMail is still available.

Maybe children who use their computers only for listening to music, or posting inane drivel on Facebook and Twitter will love it, but for anyone who has to use a computer for any type of productivity, Windows 8 is a complete failure!

Let me point out something that you perhaps don't realize: Windows 8
has two interfaces; the Modern/Metro Interface (which may be all
you've looked at) and the traditional Desktop Interface.
That traditional  Desktop Interface is almost identical to Windows 7's
interface; the biggest difference is that there is no Start Orb to
click to bring up the Start menu. But note that you can get the Start
Orb back by using one of several third-party programs, either free or
very inexpensive (Classic Shell at
http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/ and Start8 at
http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/; my personal preference is
Start8, but they are both very good).  And going from one interface to
the other is very easy; there are several ways, but simply pressing
the Windows key is perhaps the easiest.
I use Windows 8, almost exclusively with the traditional desktop
interface, and with Start 8 installed. If you were to look at and use
my computer, you would have a hard time realizing that it's not
Windows 7.
And another new third-party program that I like and you might want is
the $4.99 ModernMix at http://www.stardock.com/products/modernmix/
