Q: Script error while installing VM ware Workstation 8.

I have Windows 8 installed on my PC I am receiving script error while installing VMware Workstation 8 which worked and perfectly installed before upgrading to Win8 on Windows 7 previously on the same hardware system. The details of the script error are as follows:
An error has occurered in the script on this page.
Line:   1260
Char:   7
Error:   Expected')'
Code:  0
URL:    file:///C:/Users/NITESH'S%20PC/AppData/Local/Temp/vmware_1390466327/index.htm?lang=1033&locale=1033

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Yes/No

Now the problem is whether I click 'yes' or 'no', the installation doesn't seem to progress ant further. I installed the same on Windows 7 and it worked fine.
Thank You.

Hi RazeshBujjoju,

1. Do you have any third party browsers installed on the computer?

2. Are you using Internet Explorer as the default browser? If yes, which version of Internet Explorer have you installed?

This issue normally occurs when there is any browser conflicts or due to unwanted files in temporary folder.

As suggested by 'k3y3n1n  on Jul 9, 2010 6:19 AM' in the article provided. You may uninstall all third party browsers and delete the temp files and see if it helps. Follow the steps provided here.

Uninstall, change or repair a program

Delete files using Disk Cleanup
