Dell logo freeze under windows 8

Is there a fix yet to the fairly widespread issue of new Dell xps 8500 windows 8 computers freezing at the Dell logo on boot up?

It seems windows 8 security updates change something so there is a problem with those computers with SSD auxiliary drives.

Assorted "fixes" have been posted on the Dell site, but sometimes they work, and sometimes not. Supposedly, permanent fix is pending a Microsoft fix.

It stops at the DELL logo?  That's before the OS loads.

The problem has been for many that their computers hang at the logo. It has been said permanent fix is pending an MS fix.  (I know all about the Dell site, that is why I am posting here for a different perspective since it is claimed there needs to be an MS fix.)  Windows update security fixes seem to trigger the hang.
