Hi Martin,
This issue can be caused due to caused due to System Files are corrupted or due to virus.
Let’s try the following methods and check if it helps.
Method 1:
I would suggest you to run the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if there is any virus.
Microsoft Safety Scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To rerun a scan with the latest anti-malware definitions, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. Any data files that are infected may be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.
Method 2:

Startup Repair is a Windows 8 system recovery tool that can fix certain problems, such as missing or damaged system files.
To perform Automatic repair on Windows 8 computer follow these steps:

c. Once the Windows Setup window appears, follow these steps:
d. Click next and select Repair your computer.
e. You will then see a blue screen and an option to choose. Choose the option Troubleshoot and select advanced options.
f. You may choose Automatic Repair from Advanced boot option.
Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS

Hi Martin,
Since the system came pre-installed with Windows 8 Operating system, I would suggest you to contact the System Manufacture’s for the disc.
We need a disc to perform further task.

Hi,
You may try installing the New Windows 8 Operating System on a different driver, which will help us to view all your previous files folder.
To keep the system secure and function, I would suggest you to keep the PC up to date using “Windows Update”.
Always keep the Anti-virus software and firewall Turn On (Activated).
