Windows 8 Laptop won't connect to the wireless network

Computer details first:
New laptop: Samsung Series 3 - NP355V5C-A03CA
Wireless Network Adapter: Qualcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG

I got this laptop this morning and have been unable to get it to connect to my wireless network at home.
I get the "Checking Network Requirements" notice, and then the notice it cannot connect to the internet.
It never asks for the password. I have manually added the wireless network and that makes no difference.
I have followed /every/ suggestion in the troubleshooter, even the ones that didn't seem to apply, just in cause.
I have tried installing older drivers for the WNA, I have installed unofficial ones. I have run Windows update twice, installed everything, still nothing.

I am fairly computer literate, but this is getting to me. I have googled to the ends of the internet, I have been trying different things for four hours, and it doesn't work.

I tried at my Aunt's house and it worked, but it isn't working here.

I restarted my router, several times, and updated it, nothing. At home I have a WEP network 802.11g

What else could I be missing? Everything else connects at home no problem, just this new laptop has an issue.
