Wifi not connecting on Asus UX31E running on Windows 8

Hi, three days ago I upgraded my w7 to W8-Pro. Installation went smoothly didn't have any issues! However since then I can't connect to wifi at school or work! I can see the networks available but just can't connect. After trying I get a message "can't connect to this network" previously on W7 I was using the same networks without problems. I have an Asus UX31E with Qualcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG network adapter. I have unistalled W8 and made a new clean instal but still same problem, I got the new drivers and software both from intel and Asus but I can't uninstall /update/ roll back the drivers for the network adapter.
As soon as I uninstall it even before I restart my comp, windows automatically  reinstalls it. I been working on the laptop for three days, need some help here!

2. Did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?
