Hi,
Here are some common reasons for problems you might run into when trying to use Easy Connect.
a. One or both of the PCs aren’t running Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows RT.
b. There’s a problem with the Internet connection on either PC.
c. The person you’re trying to help is on a corporate network
I would suggest you to disable all the security software including Windows Firewall, and then check if that fixes the issue.
Note:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily
disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
I would suggest you to Ping the other network and check
if you are getting any response.
a. Press Windows + R and open Command Prompt.
b.
Type the Computer Name\IP address, and then press ENTER:
Example: Ping Computer
This will help us to check the Network connection status.
You may refer to the steps from the following Microsoft article and check if it helps.
Easy Connect doesn’t seem to work. What do I do?
Hope it helps.

I have three computers running windows 8 pro all three have the same problem.
Caused by windows updates..
The last set of windows update also caused outlook 2013 problems and had to do system restore to fix it and Microsoft pulled the update due to all the problems. They fixed it and put back on two days later and resolved there problem with Outlook 2013.
They pulled the Microsoft FIXIT tool or Patch that would solve the problem. I can find the tool but is no longer working .
They need to fix it and put back on to resolve the problem.
They refuse to fix this one that Everybody has.
Thanks,
Jim
