Protect Yourself From Tech Support Scams
Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary
technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a
Microsoft Agent or
Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an
official
Microsoft global customer service number.
Sorry Vikram, I was not monitoring my inbox for a couple of days. If you are still at the same state of affairs, you could try resetting the TCP/IP protocol stack in Windows. Here is how you could do that:
Press Windows and X on your keyboard at the same time and select Command Prompt (Admin). There may be a UAC prompt next, accept it. You should have a command prompt open now.
At the command prompt, type in the following command and press ENTER: netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
Now, restart the computer.
Does that make any difference?
The Error Code does not mislead.
