How to copy Explorer favorites from Windows XP to Windows 8, and to which internet window may they be attached?

I've already "saved" my frequent favorites that were in the Favorites Bar, but with over 25 sites in my favorite list, I need a similar, compact way to save all these on an internet site on Windows 8.

You can copy Favorites from one computer to another using the network (if sharing is setup), using an external device or using the cloud. Open File Explorer (was Windows Explorer) and copy them to C:\ \Users\[Your User Name]\Favorites.

Click on the ‘star’ top right to access them in ‘Desktop’ mode. Access them in the App version by clicking in the Address bar and they will appear along the bottom of the screen.
